    I'm a fuckin' rockstar!
Aspy and I went to go see Ivo's band SmokeStar today. I have to admit though... I didn't really want to go tonight. I was tired and wanted to do other stuff. Good thing Aspy took me anyway because damn... their set was awesome tonight. The other bands that were there were kinda sucky, some were ok but nothing phenominal. But when SmokeStar came on, they blew those others away. I wouldn't even consider them in the same league as the other guys. I'm not one who usually gushes... but today is one of those rare rare days. Not everything sparkled my eyes though. The first and third song I really liked. The second one seemed to me that Ivo's voice kinda got lost in with the instruments. I think it was the fourth one they did was pretty cool. That one part of the chorus he screamed "you live through me" or something like that, anyway that song was pretty cool but seemed the verses needed a little work. Don't ask me how though... something just didn't seem right. But then again, what do I know? I'm not the rockstar :) I hope both Ivo and Daichi make it big, that way when I see them on TV I can go "Hey! I know that guy!"

Most interesting thing I did today:
-was elbow some guy in the chest who got pushed out of a mosh pit during Ivo's set. Fucker almost ran into Aspy... but I showed him... I showed him good... muah ha ha ha ha ha ha ok... it was more reaction than anything, but I did still deflect him away from Aspy so I should get some brownie points right?

Updating once every 5 months DOES count as proper upkeep
5 months... hmmm... you would think there would be alot of ground to cover. I would say you think too much. For those who don't know me this is the current situation: I'm in NJ, USA , I'm Canadian, engaged to an american (a rather cute one at that), and not allowed to work since I'm technically still on vacation. So as such I spend alot of time playing computer games or sleeping. Well, not so much sleeping lately as at least once a month I get hit with insomnia for at least 3 days. Anyway, to fit 5 months worth of activity into one wonderful post I wrote a song... which was subsequently lost. Then it was found by a peruvian monkey who deemed it suitable as a hat but had it stolen by a swedish guy named Ikea (of no relation to the company) who mistook it as a treasure map. We may never see either again. So to make up for the lost of the greatest song ever written I give you: "Rambling & Random Recollections of Days Gone" a modern art form by me, Himegoto. Of no relation to that fake Himegoto who stole my name... yes stole... I have no evidence, but evidence is for suckers! Where was I? Oh yeah:

In the last 5 months I:
Saw movies, some good some bad. Went to the Met, saw mummies, none were mine. Saw Daichi's & Ivo's bands, heavy drinking ensued. Went to Oakland, paddled a canoe, got Aspy wet (Insert your own comment here >:D ) Drank alot of Coke, tried sniffing but bubbles hurt my nose. Cursed at AOL, made a tech cry. Set up projector, now play GC and PS2 on 5' screen. Cut grass, Cut paper, cut my finger, cut the cheese. Bought alot of computer games, beat alot of computer games, shelved alot of computer games.

In an attempt to keep current I will attempt (probably in vain) to at least publish the most interesting thing I did today at the end of each update. Unless that is my entire update, in which case it will be at the beginning too.

The Most Interesting Thing I Did Today:
    - was find the body of Jimmy Hofa.
Turns out he was a squirrel who was half eaten by the cat. I somewhat doubt the validity of my findings, but who am I to question strange lack-of-sleep induced hallucinations?

    Why does god hate me?
I peed out my bum today. It sucked. I think it might be god punishing me for neglecting FFXI and playing WoW.

    Winter? Here? GTFO.....
I woke up this morning to find something I never thought I would see again. Snow. Real snow. Not the snow that most americans think will end civilization as we know it, such as the kind deep enough to make a foot print, but actual snow that you could lose a small child in until spring. Almost felt like being back in Winnipeg... get up in the morning, shovel the snow, eat breakfast, shovel the snow the grader pushed back into your driveway, eat lunch, shovel the snow that fell since then... On the news they called it a storm. I wouldn't go so far to say that. About 1 1/2 feet have fallen, but theres no wind and I could have gone out in a T-shirt except that it was too wet. Its just a heavy snowfall that will probably melt by tomorrow.

In other news I saw a movie for free last night. Actually, its a preview of a movie. The movie wasn't even finished with post production but they wanted people's opinion so Alana and I went and saw it then filled out some survey thingy. The really suprising thing is that the movie was good. Its got Robin Williams in it and its called RV although they may still change the name. Whats interesting is that chances are, that if Alana and I saw a preview on TV for it, we probably would never ever seen it. But now that I have seen it, I think I'd actually watch it again. It was hilarious the entire way through. I was leery at first because Robin Williams has been doing alot of his own quazi-gay slightly annoying characters in his movies, but this character was genuinely funny. Even if you don't want to see a comedy or hate Robin Williams films, I think you should go watch it just to see the RV itself. This will probably be the first movie where the Academy Award for Best Leading Actor will go to a Motor Home... but then again... it is Hollywood... The probably have a whole category for vehicles, best supporting role, most convincing actor, etc. etc. Wasn't there a star in front of Mann's Chinese Theatre for a 1985 Delorian?

Well, I guess thats all for now. I have to go pick up another crappy award for journalistic achievement somewhere. Good bye, farewell, I bid you a good doo doo.

    Death to Dell!!!!
Dell sucks, we all know this. It took me almost 4 days to figure out how to put in a new hard drive that isn't the shit that Dell supplies. I read some forum about the hard drives that Dell supplies. One guy had his hard drive replaced 9 times. NINE TIMES!! Get a clue Dell, your stuff sucks! I mean sure, some people take awhile to learn their lesson, but seriously... ok ok ok, I've heard a couple people who liked their Dell laptop so I'll give them that. But I have yet to hear a single person who raves about their wonderful Dell desktop. While looking for information about what I was doing wrong with the hard drive (Other than putting non Dell shit into a shit Dell) I started to wonder if I should send Dell an email. But I'm pretty sure I can imagine what their reply would have been: "Dear consumer, Fuck You" Anyway, long story short, Alana now has a Dell computer that shouldn't break down every 2 months now. oh ya, on a side note, when putting a hard drive from one computer into another... check to make sure the jumper isn't set on slave >

    Lets go to the zoo!
Oh boy! We went to the zoo! We saw all kinds of crazy looking animals there. There was cows and goats and sheep and donkeys and even some strange creature called a crow. The usual boring stuff was there too, like the mountain lions and ostriches and peacocks (Its a peahen Steven, STEVEN ITS A PEAHEN)((inside joke)) Well, so far thats about the most excitement I've had since coming to NJ. There was one day where we went to a NIN/Queens of the Stone Age concert. But that was too boring compared to the zoo. The zoo had free admission which made it a bit better.

Fear and Loathing in New Jersey
Well, this is fun. Get to NJ, spend my first day driving back and forth between here and Newark. Spent the second day standing in line for a crappy halloween at Great Adventure. They should change their licence plates from "New Jersey, The Garden State" to "Welcome to NJ, please wait here" Traffic blows too. You know I must be annoyed since there is no witty entry aout pirates or cats or stuff. However, there was this incident with a ninja, but I was drunk and don't remember it too well... So I guess to make this entry interesting I'll just mention a quick anicdote from QXTs. If you ever want to win a costume party contest, make sure you show Stacy your tits. Thats what she shouted at every contestant. Yes, even the men. Hey I know! Ryan can flash Stacey and they can live happily ever after! Then I can have a friend come out here to NJ with me :) Stacey, Ryan has a great rack. Invite him over!

    Current Mood: annoyed

    Welcometo NJ... Please wait here...
Admission Price for Great Adventure: $60
Hours spent waiting in line: 2.5
Angry e-mails for crappy experience: 5 bajillion
Watching girls beat up other girls because they were singing in line: Priceless

For everything else, theres "Fuck you 6 flags" mastercard.

    undisclosed location

Our platoon has been deployed here for several years. 25 last I checked. Just when I was beginning to believe that command had forgotten about us, reassignment! Should be a nice break from the battleweary lands of Winnipeg. We're being shipped to NJ on saturday. Then men are looking forward to relaxing on the white sand beaches in the warm tropical breeze. This last week has been the toughest in awhile. Waiting for redeployment seems to be taking forever. We've been keeping busy packing up gear and our latest fortification is starting look more and more empty everyday. We expect little resistance when crossing the border. Our advance scouts report favourable conditions. However, after 25years we're not taking any chances. Artillary is being prepared to bombard the border crossing if it proves necessary, at which point we will then charge forward. Preparations must be completed.

Yar, physics be a harsh mistress.
Well, Aspy left on Monday. I was hoping that physics would take a day off and the plane wouldn't take off... well, it didn't do me any favours so it will now be my life goal to destroy physics. That'll teach it, that'll teach it good. I urge you all to join my righteous cause and burn a text book today! In other news I've decided to hire a crack team of ninjas. These ninja should be able to not only help in my glorious quest against physics, but should also be handy when those suburban pirates come back. Other than that, life continues to suck.

Found my missing breath under the bed, suspect maid of incompetence. Investigation Complete.

I hate megas_ffxi, but love <3 Megas XLR
Today is a day of mixed emotions. On the one hand, my fiance is coming today in approximately 7hours and 58 minutes. On the other, I've lost all faith in humanity. Thats right. All of it. Janeba still has not updated his LJ. I don't have a life so I am forced to leech off those around me. Janeba is one such person. By reading his LJ everyday I feel as though... Ah screw it. I'm bored with that topic. Lets discuss something more interesting. Something like.... Aspy will be here in somewhere around 7hours and 54 minutes. Well... actually thats about all there is to discuss. Shes coming. I'm excited. So... ya...

I realized earlier today that I don't own a Cat. Suspect someone else may be responsible. The investigation continues.

    Yar Matey
I woke up at around 5pm today. I suspect I may have been drugged by suburban pirates because I rarely sleep past 4. I'm sure it was just a case of mistaken identity because I don't appear to have any lasting effects. Although I do have a strange yearning to aquire a parrot... Anyway, I suggest megas_ffxi update his LJ because I'm a big whiner and the sophisticated viewing audience of this fine journalistic achivement would probably want to read more about me and less about Janeba. Incidently, if some random person is reading this I'm on the Leviathan server of FFXI.

I'm beginning to suspect the cat may be stealing my breath at night. I'll update you as my investigation continues.

    The Adventure Begins!
Sat on my ass all day and played FFXI.
    9:23 pm
    Prologue
Oooh, my first ever LJ entry. Often my friends have commented that I lead an interesting life and should write a book about it. Books require alot of time, you need a publisher, you have to find a market for it, and you need that pesky little thing called talent. Since I have none of the above I've decided to keep a daily journal of my (mis)adventures. I define daily loosely... more along the lines of when I have time, haven't forgotten about it, or even still retain interest. Most of my days are spent sitting on the couch trying to set a new world record for ass size, so expect many entries of "Sat on my ass all day and played FFXI". So without further ado, I present you "The Amazing True Adventures of Himegoto!"
